Overview

Mokt (“the App”) is an expense tracking application. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

Account Information

• Email address (if you sign up with email)
• Apple ID identifier (if you sign in with Apple)
• Anonymous identifier (if you use guest mode)

Financial Data

• Transaction amounts, merchants, categories, and dates that you enter manually or capture via Apple Pay automation
• Budget settings
• Income and expense records

Receipt Images

• Photos of receipts you scan are processed for text extraction and stored securely. Receipt images are not shared with third parties.

Usage Data

• App interactions for improving the user experience
• Crash reports and performance data

How We Use Your Data

• To provide and maintain the expense tracking service
• To process and categorize your transactions
• To generate spending statistics and insights
• To sync your data across sessions
• To process subscription purchases

Third-Party Services

We use the following services:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting (data stored in secure cloud infrastructure)
• OpenAI — transaction categorization and receipt text extraction (transaction descriptions are sent for AI processing; no personal identifiers are shared)
• RevenueCat — subscription management
• Apple — Sign in with Apple, Apple Pay transaction data via Shortcuts automation

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase with row-level security policies. Each user can only access their own data. Receipt images are stored in private storage buckets accessible only to authenticated users.

Apple Pay Automation

The App uses iOS Shortcuts automation to capture Apple Pay transaction data (amount, merchant name, card used). This data is processed locally on your device and stored in your account. The App does not have access to your payment card numbers, bank account details, or Apple Pay credentials.

Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as you maintain an active account. You can delete all your data at any time from Settings within the App. Upon account deletion, all associated data is permanently removed from our servers.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data (available in-app)
• Export your data (CSV export available in-app)
• Delete your data (available in Settings)
• Delete your account

Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the “Last updated” date.
